This stone is Selenite, or crystallized gypsum. This mineral is prized for its clarity and beauty. The name Selenite comes from the Greek word for Moon and means “Moon Rock”. The defining characteristics of Selenite are the beautiful strings of crystals that resembles ice.
Then placed atop a light source, the light beautifully radiates through the Selenite, creating a warm glow. This mineral is a must have for any collector.
