Chrysanthemum is an elegant, decorative stone named for its unique patterns embedded in the stone that resemble flowering chrysanthemums. Found only in the Yangtze River Valley, it is appropriate that the Chrysanthemum is the official symbol of the Imperial Family of China.
These beautiful crystal blooms contain more than ten kinds of trace elements, such as selenium, stronium, gold, silver, & bismuth embedded in a limestone matrix. These specimens were formed in marine sediments 270 million years ago in the Yangtze River Valley in China.
The availability of this beautiful stone is limited because mining will only continue until the waters behind the Hunan Dam are released in the year 2009, flooding the Yangtze River Valley.
Please remember that all products are unique, and while not exact, the product that you receive will be similar in grade and likeness to the specimen pictured.
